Timothy J. Dunn

Tim graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1962 with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering.  He graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School in 1965.  He served a clerkship in the Bergen County Prosecutor's office and was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey.  Tim then went on to serve as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps for three years, during which he was a Chief Trial Counsel prosecuting in court martials.  After the Marines, Tim became an associate attorney at the law firm of Lucchi and Conway, of Hackensack, until he founded his own firm in Closter in April of 1970.

Tim is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Military Appeals, and the United States Federal District Courts for various districts in New York and New Jersey.  He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York.  He is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyer's Association.  He has served on numerous committees, including the District Ethics Committee.  Tim has also engaged in many community activities, including Scoutmaster, Little League Coach, and various Boards.  He has been published in the New Jersey Law Journal and been awarded the prestigious Silver Beaver award by the Boy Scouts of America.

Tim has extensive experience in real estate as well as commercial and personal injury litigation.  His background includes extensive practice in land use and real estate, as well as estate planning, products liability actions and the contract activities of clients.


Tim is a lifelong resident of Haworth, New Jersey.  He and his wife, Nancy raised 5 children who live and work in the Northern and Pascack Valley Communities.
